Plant Facility The company’s 6.7 hectare plant facility is located at Silang Cavite, 39 kilometers south of Manila. The plant is capable of producing from 8,000 to 10,000 square meters of ceramic tiles daily. Operation is 24 hours per day with around 200 employees on rotating shifts. On hand are 1200 KVA and tow units of 600 KVA generator sets for continuous power supply. Production of ceramic tiles is batch-type on a straight-line automated set-up, incorporating German and Italian technology. Constant monitoring of tile quality is done on-line. The laboratory is equipped with modern ceramic testing apparatus. New designs are run in the laboratory for the desired result before actual production. The finished goods warehouse can accommodate up to 600,000 square meters of ceramic tiles inventory. The raw materials warehouse can hold several shiploads (around 20,000 MT) of imported white clay. The Silang plant also houses the administrative offices, a dormitory with mess hall, clinic, employee’s canteen, carpentry, and other auxiliary service units, with provisions for expansion.
Eurotiles Industrial Corporation is a manufacturer of superior ceramic tiles that carry the trade name Eurotiles. The corporation was registered on June 1989. Plant operation started April 1992.

WHAT IS EUROTILES SUPERIOR CERAMIC TILES? Eurotiles superior ceramic tiles are relatively thin slabs of ceramic material in varying shapes and thickness. These tiles are made from mixtures of clays, sand and other natural substances. Raw materials such as kaolin clay, feldspar, silica sand and water are batched into a ball mill. These undergo grinding, and mixing, producing a slurry called “slip”. The slip is filtered and metallic matters removed by passing the slip through a magnetic field. Through a series of fine nozzles, the slip is sprayed into a giant funnel;-like chamber called the Spray Dryer. Subject powder is conveyed to the hydraulic press where it is molded to form the ceramic tile body. It is further dried through a fast-dryer before glazing. The glaze forms a thin coating of glass when sprayed onto the tile surface. Screen-printing if desired, is also done here. Electronic sensors are strategically located along the conveyor to eliminate defective tiles. The glazed green ware that has passed quality control is then fed inside a roller kiln with a length of at least 80 meters and subjected temperatures of up to 1180ºC. Finished products exit from the kiln and pass through the electronic sensors and visual inspections. Each tile also passes through a pre-set load, eliminating tiles that are below the required breaking strength. It is then automatically machine-sorted for size classification and coding, eliminating substandard tiles. The finished products are boxed, coded, and transferred to the finished goods warehouse for delivery. Eurotiles’s ceramic tiles make use of white clay as primary raw material. White clay can withstand much higher temperatures than red clay and thus considered a premium material.
