Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees the recruitment and sourcing for ship-based crew operational requirements for designated areas
  • Assists in the development and execution of recruitment plans and activities in designated areas
  • Spearheads the coordination of the recruitment drives with  manning agents
  • Assists in the preparation of  quarterly fleet recruitment plans and coordinates with manning agents regarding recruitment activities
  • Develops and maintains a pool of qualified candidates in anticipation of needed crew
  • Maintains close liaison with the manning agents to ensure efficient and effective deployment of new crew
  • Assists in the preparation of annual budget for Recruitment department
  • Coordinates with respective fleet divisions to determine screening guidelines, candidate profile and ensure best fit
  • Assists in identifying potential manning  agents
  • Assists in the issuance of Recruitment-related Crewing Instructions
  • Facilitates the gathering of data and information for the monthly fleet attrition reports and recommends crew retention strategies
  • Assists in the preparation of Recruitment-related project proposals for fleet special recruitment projects
  • Prepares recruitment summary
  • Recommends recruitment process improvements
  • Performs other tasks as may be assigned by Sr. Manager – Recruitment

 

Qualifications

  • Degree/diploma in any discipline
  • English and Mandarin Proficient (required)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • With previous supervisory work related experience
  • Preferably with 3 years’ experience in human resources, recruitment or other related field
  • Strong administrative skills and highly organized, can perform multi-tasking activities and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or any CMS is an advantage
  • Willing to travel overseas occasionally
