JOB DESCRIPTION

• Production and maintenance of annual budgets and cash flows.
• Production of monthly finance management reports for the Board.
• Administration of expense and Gift Aid claims.
• Maintenance of computerised general ledger, cashbook, and cash flows.
• Monthly bank reconciliation bank with general ledger and donations database.
• Control of payroll and liaison with payroll agency.
• Maintaining the donor database to ensure accurate financials can be produced.
• Ensuring all financials, including donor information, are compliant with UK company and charity law and all statutory reporting requirements are being met.
• Supporting senior staff in the development of funding proposals.
• Supporting the London office with some basic office management activities that free other staff to focus on policy, advocacy, and campaigning work.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certified Public Accountant
• At least 3 years work experience in accounting, finance, and audit
• Has leadership potential, willing to do fieldwork
• Has good communication skills, verbal and written
• Excellent skill in Microsoft Excel
