Job Description

  1. Define a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to our company’s strategy and business goals;
  2. Develop a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organisational objectives;
  3. Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc);
  4. Use various methods and techniques and make data based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and nonfinancial compensations;
  5. Assess employees needs by conducting organisational psychology surveys to find out what motivates and engages employees;
  6. Participate in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits;
  7. Differentiate pay systems to invest in the segments of workforce that contribute the most value;
  8. Deploy effective communication strategies and success metrics;
  9. Conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices;
  10. Conduct periodic audits and prepare reports;
  11. Updates, monitors and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on three- and six-month and one-year evaluations;
  12. Reports, maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases; and
  13. Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.
