Job summary
 Assumes full responsibility for the overall management of the Building Products Sales
 Develops implements and monitors the annual sales plan.
 Evaluate GP contribution by segment in order to allocate manpower and other resources
to more profitable segment.
 Closely coordinates with the Group Marketing Director in the following areas:
 Market Data Gathering/Market Intelligence
 Ad and Promo development and implementation.
 Consolidation of BP Sales Performance by market segment, by manager and by sales
engineer.
 Development of the Annual Marketing Plan.
 Responsible for all projects designed, negotiate and bid and closed in NCR and Luzon
Regional.
 Reactivates dormant accounts, grows existing active accounts and develops new
customers.
 Develops good long-term relationships with the owners and/or officers of all key
accounts and decision makers of government agencies.
 Ensures that efficient services are delivered to customers.
 Visits key customers to establish long term business relations.
 Does field visits to assist sales managers and sales engineers in addressing sales
related problems that are encountered.

 Develops suppliers for finished products to be imported to include plant visits to
supplier’s facilities, decides trial volume, and ultimately accreditation.

 In coordination with purchasing, recommends to the COO the proper volume of material
and finished goods that are needed to meet sales targets and issue the necessary purchase
requisition form.
 Determines relevant data to be gathered on competitors pricing ensures their accuracy
analyzes and recommends counter pricing strategies for approval by the pricing
committee.
 Ensures compliance to approved selling price and credit guidelines prior to giving
approval to sales orders.
 Recommends to the Credit Committee appropriate credit lines for the he BP Sales.
 Assures achievement of the BP Sales Target and institutes actions to correct
underperformance of each of his Managers and salesmen on a monthly basis.
 Coordinates with the Group Training Manager to ensure that all Sales Managers/ Sales
Engineers are properly equipped with the skills needed to competently perform their
duties and responsibilities.
 Assures that Sales Managers and Sales Engineers maintain a high degree of integrity and
honesty in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
 Initiates monthly coordination with Credit and Legal departments on problematic
accounts receivables and monitors status of legal cases.
 Ensures that the Division is adequately manned at all times to be able to achieve the sales
targets.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
 Develops the Annual Sales Plans together with the Sales Managers, for recommendation
to and approval by the COO.
 Ensures the effective implementation of the approved Sales Plan.
 Jointly responsible with the Group Marketing director in the development of advertising
and Promo programs for his product lines and the development of the Annual Marketing
plan for recommendation to the COO.
 Assures achievements of the BP Sales Target and institute actions to correct
underperformance of each of his Managers.
 Develops good long-term relationships with the owners and/or officers of all key
accounts and decision makers of the Building Products.

Supervises the Sales Manager on the following:
 Conduct of data gathering analysis and continuous monitoring of market situation to
formulate counter strategies for the following:

 Competitor’s product specification testing in the store
 Competitor product positioning
 Competitor activities and their pricing strategies

 Competitor organization structure
 Competitor distribution network

 Provides market data with Marketing to be able to determine the total market size of the
BP Market and establish market share.
 Establishing short and long term markets shares targets for the following brands
belonging to BP Market:
 Galvalume
 Galvabond
 Colorbond
 Recommends to the COO the correct volume of finished goods and raw materials needed
to meet Sales target.
 Recommends to the Credit Committee appropriate credit terms for different market
segments that the BP Sales caters to.
 Provides data on competitors’ pricing to marketing and Finance for them to develop or
counter pricing strategies for approval by the pricing Committee.
 Initiates monthly coordination with Credit and legal departments on problematic accounts
receivables and monitors status of legal cases.
 Prepares and manages the sales Budget.
 Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING:

 Assures that Sales Engineers maintain a high degree of integrity and honesty in
the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
 Ensures all activities of the entire division are consistent with the Company’s
Code of Conduct.
 Assures that Sales Managers and Sales Engineers maintain a high degree of
integrity and honesty in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
 Reviews applicability of established KRAs and KPIs vis-à-vis the nature of the
job as well as the prevailing business scenario. Ensures regular review of
subordinates’ performance, vis-avis set expectations, and provides coaching and
mentoring sessions to subordinates whose performance falls short of expectations.
 Ensures that performance of sales personnel who are assigned under his/her direct
responsibility are reviewed and addressed, by way of providing coaching and
learning sessions in order to achieve sales targets.
 Ensures that the company’s vision and mission statement are well-translated into
employees’ value systems and key result areas.
 Responsible for the resource requirements of the organizational unit by sourcing
and recruiting qualified candidates for all vacant positions that are budgeted or
when incumbents need to be replaced due to poor sales performance.

 Ensures that learning and development needs of direct reports are addressed,
based on their specific competency requirements indicated in their respective
training plan.
 Develops Training Manual for Sales and regularly conducts training to the team to
enhance their skills in the performance of their jobs.
 Proactively manages operational risk within the department and takes actions
necessary to mitigate risks and ensures compliance to the company's risk
management framework, plans and initiatives.
 Execute and enforce safety plans in the workplace in accordance with the
Company Policies.
