Responsibilities

• The Solution Architect - Azure should become a trusted advisor to the customer to guide the adoption of Azure in the most effective way. Should connect customer needs with the appropriate Azure services, and architect for optimized consumption and sustainable outcomes for their workloads. Anticipate-remediate architectural blockers.
• Build trusted advisor status with key stakeholders and technical leaders to advance trust in Azure services.
• Drive consumption by identifying and architecting projects on Azure.
• Support architectural design sessions, technical POCs, demos and engage delivery groups to deploy complete solutions based on Azure.
• Troubleshoots complex technical issues for cloud-based solutions. Identifies and mitigates risks on projects.
• Evaluates new technological developments and evolving business requirements that impact cloud-based strategies.
• Provides technical project leadership and assembles teams as needed for support of cloud-based initiatives (i.e. Database, Infrastructure, Development, Data Security).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related software engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• +2 years of experience in all aspects of cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data), as well as cloud market, market dynamics, and customer buying behavior. MUST
• Experience in writing software in a language such as Java, , Ruby on Rails, Go, Python, PHP or similar. PREFERRED
• 5 years of direct experience working with Azure environments. Experience with AWS and Google Cloud is valued.
• Deep understanding of the current state of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts for broad audiences, empowering them with memorable and useful information.
